Mattie Cornett Lewis' Obituary
Funeral services for Mattie Cornett Lewis, 74, of Longview, will be 2 PM Wednesday , October 22, 2003, at Winterfield United Methodist Church with Reverend Mike Lindstrom officiating. Interment will be in Alpine Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lewis died Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at her residence.
She had been a resident of Longview since 1966 coming from Kentucky. Mrs. Lewis was born February 28, 1929 in Hazard, Kentucky, to Robert F. and Armina Cornett, and was a homemaker and member of the Winterfield United Methodist Church.
Mattie is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Jo & Joe Thorpe of Hazard, KY, Kathy & Robert Dutton of Quinlan, TX, Helen Broughton of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren are Heather, John and Jeff Thorpe, Nicole Curry, Justin Weldon, and Brittany Broughton; brother-in-law, Al Heyson of Cincinatti, OH, a number of nieces and nephews including, Jeanna Wolf, Sue Telford, and David Heyson and a host of friends.
Mattie was preceded in death by her husband, Ermon T. Lewis in 1986.
Mattie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
