Larry, Diana, Sylvia, Robin,and Monte,
My heart is breaking for the tragic loss of our precious Matthew. Words cannot express what he meant to me. I remember when he was just a little boy, he would always want me to feel of his muscles. Of course, I would. I would make a big deal about them and that would put a huge smile on his face. That never changed. The last time I saw him on Thanksgiving at my house I said, Matthew let Aunt Karen feel those BIG muscles,like the little boy he use to be he flexed his muscles and smiled. I want yall to know that I loved him very much. But I know through God's infinite mercy he is going to see this family through this tragic time. I love you my dear family. May God Bless you and comfort you.

I am Matt's father and as of current date, January 15 2004, I have read all of the kind comments relating to my dear son Matthew.
Thank you for being his friend, teacher, relative or whatever positive influence and help you provided to Matt. I miss Matt and yearn for his presence and I love him with all my being. He was a wonderful person. A parent should
never have to lay his children to rest and should be the other way around. What can a parent say concerning the loss of a dear son? Words fail but I do know that there is a great plan being worked out here below. The creator God has a wonderful future in store for all mankind. I know Matt will be brought back again. God will bring him back to life again, call him, open his mind and give him hope and a great future.

I knew Matt through my Ex-boyfreind,Clint Young and his cousin Gene, though my ex and me still are great freinds and still hang out,I could not believe when i heard those 2 words come out of Clints shakey voice,I met matt through clint and honestly he was one of the only friends of his that I liked and thought was an all around good guy!even when Clint moved back to shervport, he would come down and stay the night at your house with Matt, I usually came over to the house when Matt returned from school, through that me and Matt devoloped a friendship we both worked out at parkeway and he would always ask how I was doing,he always had encouraging words to say to me! Clint and I will miss him so much, I will miss seeing him honking and waving, and our talks at parkeway! my heart is broke! Clint is very heartbroken,it hurts me to see him like this!I was just down to see Clint,wendesday in shreveport and we were talking about how crooks was such a well rounded, awesome guy, he was perfect in our eyes! I loved his smile I never saw crooks with out a huge smile on his face! I never met anyone that did not like Matt unless thay were jealous, but who wouldn't be he was and is awesome!Matt was an inspiration to me, I am starting nursing school and he was always so smart and told me he would help me if I needed it, in a way in breaks my spirt now,to have to start in Jan. and Matt's gone from this earth, but I think he is watching over all of us and will be there to see us all through it! I have a awesome picture of clint and matt from the cruise, my heart as well as Clint's breaks for you! we all loved him and miss him terriably, I can't imagine what you and your family are going through! Our prayers and thought are with ya'll! We Just don't understand why it happened like it did,we all never ever would have thought that it would end like that!only God knows why! I beleive Matt was an angel on earth! Clint and I were talking and remebering the good times with him on wendesday, and it come up about him eating so much protein, like the tuna straight out of the can, I couldn't eat that but Matt loved it! We were remebering the Gas it would give him, we just laughed and knew that Matt was there laughing and telling us to hush, saying its natural we all do it! I have never met you his mom or sister butI can only imagine what Great people ya'll must be! WE MISS HIM TERRIBLY! YOUR IN OUR PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS!
