Mary Lou Mason Meissner
Services for Mary Lou Meissner, 83, of White Oak, will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010 at White Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Heim officiating. Interment will follow at the Old White Oak Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Meissner passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010 in Longview. Mrs. Meissner was born January 17, 1927 in Odesa, Texas to Truman and Jewell Mason. She was a long time resident of White Oak. Upon graduation from White Oak High School, she worked for Sun Oil Company. She laterr went to work for Delta Strapping and stayed there until retiring in 1992. Mary Lou was best known for her love and devotion to God, her family, and her music. She taught piano lessons for many years. Mary Lou was a volunteer for Good Shepherd Hospital for several years. At different times throughout her life she was a member of Pilot Club, Lions Club, and worked for Meals on Wheels. She is survived by sons, Truman Meissner and wife Dorthea of Killeen, Texas and David Meissner of White Oak. Grandson, Chase Meissner of Dallas, granddaughter, Robin Johnson and husband David of Nacogdoches. Two great grandchildren, Sophie and Caleb Johnson of Nacogdoches. She was proceeded in death by her husband Theo Meissner, sisters, Margaret Casida and Essie Marks, and parents Truman and Jewell Mason. Memorial contributions may be made to White Oak Baptist Church 117 S. White Oak Road White Oak, TX 75693. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, August 20, 2010 from 6-8 p.m.
