It was such a pleasure to see Mary Lou a year ago after many years of not. I was glad to be able to hug her around the neck & share with her how much I enjoyed the few years she taught me piano. Was there anyone she didn’t teach in White Oak? She was such a pretty lady & always had a smile that you knew was filled with love & thoughtfulness! A true Roughneck always engulfed in that Roughneck Spirit! What a wonderful, fun, loving lady she was to be around. She was always an encourager to others and had such a positive influence in all the people she encountered. Her warm smile and laughter will be greatly missed. We have such fond memories of her playing the piano at White Oak Missionary Baptist church and know that in heaven there's a piano bench just for her.

Truman & David - as small children in elementary school Randy and I enjoyed many an after school afternoon playing at your house with your mom looking after us. She was always so kind and gracious that we have lasting memories of those good times. She was my favorite in White Oak and I will miss her dearly. I am sure if there is a piano in Heaven, Mary Lou will be playing it. She always found one at Auxiliary meetings and entertained while we were waiting for the program. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. I loved Mary Lou like a second mom and grew up knowing that church services could not start until Mary Lou was seated at the piano. She was a true Roughneck and will be sorely missed.
