Mary Leonard's Obituary
Mary H. Leonard, Holly Lake Ranch, TX formerly of Bainbridge, NY. went to be with her Lord on June 13, 2014. Mary was born in Montgomery, Al. on March 21, 1921. She came to Bainbridge, the adopted daughter of Charles Hovey and Alice (Davidson) Hovey.
Mary loved her family and never met a stranger. She was a loving and devoted wife to Howard Foster (died 1990) and their five children David (Kathy), Louisiana, Alicia (David) Palmer, N.Y. James (died 1984), Richard (Penny) N.Y. and John (Mary) N.Y. She married Guy Leonard in 1994 who she loved and cherished.
She took Guy Leonard’s children as her own . They are Ross, CA, Forrest ,TX, Chris (Marc) Wheeler, TX, Elliott (JoAnn), CO, and Gaye (Dennis) Hazan, WA. She is survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren each of whom she loved equally and dearly. Mary can best be identified with Proverbs 31 versus 10-12. At Mary’s request there will be no memorial services. Her cremated remains will be interred in Greenlawn cemetery in Bainbridge at the convenience of her family. Memorial donations may be made to the Greenlawn Cemetery Association in her honor.
At Mary’s request, there will be no memorial services. A private committal service will be held for family at Greenlawn Cemetery in Bainbridge on July 17.
