Mary C. Jackson's Obituary
Funeral services for Mary C. Jackson, age 74 of Henderson, will be held at 2:00pm Thursday January 27, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church with The Reverend Candice Klein officiating. Burial will follow at the King Cemetery in Mt. Enterprise under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mrs. Jackson died at her home Tuesday January 25, 2011.
She was born May 12, 1936 in San Augustine to Louis & Mary Belle Gilliam. Mary had worked as a secretary for the Rusk County Chamber Commerce. She and her husband the late C.J. Jackson operated the Summit Oaks Home for children for many years in Laneville. She owned a bed & breakfast at one time. Mary was an artist, she also loved to cook for her family, and was known for her grilled cheese sandwiches. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Henderson.
She was preceded in death by husband C.J. Jackson and parents.
She is survived by 2 daughters Lee Hall and husband Larry of Jasper, and Renee Wills and husband Drew of Tyler. Brother-in ?law and sister-in ? law Mike and Mary Linda Jackson of Henderson, nephew Michael Jackson
The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 5pm ~ 7pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Henderson or the Henderson Animal Shelter.
