Renee and Lee, we are saddened by Mary's death; she and your dad were a huge part of our lives. As a newly-wed in Alice, Texas, in the 1960's, Mary took me under her wing and taught me lots of things. She was such a wonderful cook...her chocolate cake maybe was Ma Jackson's recipe is the ultimate and her hushpuppies and Pa Jackson's Mexican cornbread are classics that we love. I'm sorry I never got the recipe for the grilled cheese sandwiches. Mary was also such a bright person, great conversationist, and good friend. We are so sorry that you lost both of them at too young an age; may sweet memories give you comfort. We loved them both and you, too.##imported-begin##Martha Jo & John Whitt##imported-end##

My condolences to the family of Mary Chamberlain. She was a high school classmate of mine in San Augustine, Tx. We even dated a few times while in high school. I recall picking her up after her job at the Dairy Mart. She often smelled like a Broilaburger msde by Mrs. Bennie Poss. May God comfort you two daughters in this time.

I live in central Texas now, but often look at the Henderson paper on-line. Was stunned to see that Mary had died this past week. She and I were in several organizations and groups during the 1980's and early 1990's. We also attended the same church. I thought her a wonderful person and felt fortunate to have known her. She will be missed by many.##imported-begin##Mary B Davis##imported-end##
