I enjoyed knowing and learning from Marty at LeTourneau. I have served with MAF for 21 years overseas in Indonesia, so Marty had a part in the work of the Lord through me. Know that he impacted the world for Christ through teaching others who used those talents for the Lord! We're praying for you all during these days of mourning.

I came to the website to sign the guestbook and instead have spent the past hour reading over 100 emails from others about Marty and have been richly blessed once again by his testimony - a solid and sure Christ-centered life lived out among us daily. His influence on hundreds at LeTourneau University over the years will continue to span the globe for the glory of God. Thank you, his family, for sharing him with us. His presence will be missed, but the lives he touched will be the better for it. I'm so sorry I live here locally but was unable to make the visitation or funeral services. Having just lost my Dad to leukemia in May, I have experienced a taste of what you're going through, and you will be in our prayers.

Such a shock to hear the news. I'm so glad I had such a great time with Marty and Jean in March when I brought my son to LeTourneau for a campus visit. My heart was heavy when I heard the news of Mr. Donner. I do apologize for not making it to the services, but I was on the east coast and not able to make it back. Mr. Donner always showed so much kindness to me, and I always will remember him for that, especially when he came to the hospital to visit me. I will always remember him as a kind, tender hearted man that loved God and was very devoted to his life of service at LeTourneau. My best memories of Mr. Donner are when I would come back to school to visit and he was so interested in how I was doing. It made me feel as though I was the most important student he ever had, but I know that he treated all of us that way.

The funeral for Marty was the nicest funeral I've ever attended. Thank you for sharing with us. Marty was a special professor and colleague of mine. I work in the building behind him and anytime I walked out of my building, Marty would wave or yell "hi" to me, even though he was working with students on running up the engines. He's been a great example to me over my time from being his student to being his colleague. We will miss him greatly. I'll keep you in my prayers.

My deepest sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Mr. Marty Donner. I enjoyed his leadership and friendship during my college days at LeTourneau. He indeed was a very "precise" teacher, upholding the highest of teaching standards, and also expecting the same from his pupils. After over twenty years, I still remember his class devotional series through the book of Nehemiah as he brought the book to life for me. I can also remember early morning classes with him when he was known to occasionally throw chalkboard erasers at sleeping students. I was once accidentally hit when he missed one such sleeper. I won't forget the "impact" of that day or the more important "impact" Mr. Donner had on requiring the very best from his students. May God richly bless Mr. Donner's legacy and his family!
