I met my second Dad when I was in high school. His daughter Dawn became my best friend. I spent countless hours at his house and always felt loved when I was with him. I was accepted by the family immediately (even though I convinced his daughter to sneak out of the house :)
He inspired me to work hard and play hard. He understood how hard it can be to be a child and allowed us to be kids.
When I grew to adulthood he would tell me how proud he was of me and I cannot tell you what that meant to me. He will always be in my heart.
I know he will rest in peace.
