Martha Laine's Obituary
Funeral services for Martha Laine, 92, of Longview will be held at 10 AM Monday, November 2, 2015 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Dr. James Tanner officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Park. Mrs. Laine passed away Thursday morning in a local nursing home. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
Martha was born in Aubrey, TX on December 21, 1922. She enjoyed camping with the grandkids, card playing, cooking, fishing, gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family both close by and far off. She was an active member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church and was retired from the Gregg County Tax Office where she worked for many years as a clerk.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Lilly Mae; her husband Willie "W.J" Laine; her sons Michael and Patrick; three brothers Jack, Harvey and John Carter; one sister, Helen Carter Bates; son-in-law Steve; and daughter-in-law Debbie.
Those left to cherish their memories of Martha include daughter Martha Ann Cole; grandchildren Cody Moore Cole, Jason and Tiffany Laine, Ron and Candi Hendrix, Dustin Laine, Cash Cole; great grandchildren Clay, Jack, Jacob, Sam, Cori Grace, Nathan, Wynn as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
