Martha Frances Knox Walker
Martha Frances Knox Walker, 86, of Longview, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at her residence. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Mrs. Walker was born April 26, 1920 in Harleton, Texas to Eddith Kirk and Beatrice Claude Ragan Knox. She was a retired bookkeeper for Long Trust in Kilgore, a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great grandmother as well as an avid bridge player.
Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Walker Pop; and her brothers, Murray Knox, J. W. Knox, and James D. Knox.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Patti Kay Thornton and Garth J. Ridge of Baton Rouge, LA; her grandson, Brandon Lee Thornton and his wife, Crystal Marie Thornton and her granddaughter Ashly Lashell Thornton all of Longview; great grandchildren, Alec Joseph Thornton and Hannah Marie Thornton; and brothers, R. E. ?Pat? Knox of Katy and Kenneth Neal Knox and his wife, Pam of Bellaire, TX; numerous nieces and nephews, Debrorah Aylor of Orange, CA and Jerry W. Thornton of Longview, TX.
The family wants to especially thank Hospice of East Texas and her many friends at Buckner Westminster Retirement Community for all of their love and support.
