This space would not hold all I would like to say about Martha. So I will sum it all up in one word. GRACIOUS. Martha was the most gracious person I think I ever knew. She was the same to every one, and she was admired and loved by many, especially by me and my whole family. She loved much, and had a strong Faith in God. She will be missed.
"To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord."

Patti and Family, May God comfort you with this word in your loss. I love you all.##imported-begin##Nathalie Blackburn##imported-end##
Martha was like a second mother to me when I was growing up. My mother babysat her daughter, Patti, beginning when we were 3-4 years old. Martha contributed to the opportunities I had as a young child because she paid for dance & swim lessons, skating, etc for both Patti and me.
As an adolescent and young adult, I viewed Martha as a loving role model and mentor. She was an educated, professional woman who managed to "do it all" in my eyes. I remember that she always made the person she was speaking with feel like they had her total attention and interest.
As I was growing up, she encouraged me, corrected my English ha! and paid for my piano lessons when I was in high school and my family could not afford them. On occasion, she even provided use of her car to get to those lessons.
Martha will always hold a very special place in my heart and memories. I will always feel that I was special to her, too. There are probably many who feel the same way because Martha had a way of making everyone she knew feel they were special to her. I think they probably were.##imported-begin##Vonna Goddard##imported-end##
