Rest in peace dear Martha. You were a math major student and also a math tutor to me and many more at the University of TN at Martin using your math "Bible" to help us learn. I remember your cat, Claude, played the piano on your living room. Of course your daughter Kim played much better. The first time I heard Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata was played by Kim there. Kim and Kathy would practice their high school cheerleader cheers in your living room. Then they became fellow students at UTM. I remember your Toyota Corolla that your daughters quickly piled the miles on way too quickly. Keith was in service during that time but I got to know him later after his discharge from service when he also started college at UTM becoming a fellow KA fraternity brother after I graduated. Of course Kim and then Kathy had already become KA Little Sisters at UTM while I was still in school. I remember your reminiscing about your growing up in Longview, TX with, Mary, your twin sister and that because of being identical, you two were able to be test subjects for medications in human trials which would help get medications approved for mainstream human use. I remember your saying your parents owned an Albertsons supermarket in Longview where you said thst Bonnie and Clyde had shot a bullet into the ceiling. And I remember you showing me your Longview high school yearbook with the Lobos mascot emblazoned on it and learning that was Spanish for wolves. I remember hearing you telling about Longview's enormous and historic Reo Palm Isle where you could dance. I was exposed to so much about the world and life through you. You were a dear friend to not only me but to many students in Martin. You were important to me and a dear friend. I treasure my memories of you. You lived life to the fullest and taught me not only math but to also live my life to the fullest. Well life well lived, Martha! And again, my dear friend, rest in peace.
