Mark took awhile to warm up to us, before he left for Texas we could always depend on a funny story & a laugh or a smart comment from him. He always tried to be positive, was really excited to move in hopes that a Transplant would come sooner. Enjoyed getting to know him & always hoped for the best for him. Staff UBH dialysis
I feel like sharing a funny story. I like to eat honey buns. I can't have too many of them so I usually have a good idea of how many are left in the box. Here recently, while Mark was at treatment I decided to get a honey bun. The box was empty! I searched all over the place, in the pantry, on top of the fridge, just couldn't find them. I was lost, my guilty pleasure was no more. Two days later Mark was again at treatment and my dog was really on top of Mark's belongings, I went to get away and found six honey bun wrappers. Later on when Mark returned, I asked "Did you get into my sweets?" Silence. Then in Mark's sweetest way, he simply said "yeah"!!!!
On January 1st, I had the privilege of taking care of Mr Mark Ramirez at Davita Dialysis. I finally broke the ice with him and got him to laughing and talking with me. I told him I knew he was funny holding in all that laughter. Very polite and kind young man. My deepest condolences to his family.
