Margie N. Burns Funeral services for Margie N. Burns, 77, of Longview will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday, June 4, 2008, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, Longview with Chaplain Elvie Johnson and Chaplain Eddy Secrest officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Park. She passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008 in Longview. Mrs. Burns was born November 5, 1930 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Frank and Jewell Dugan. She was a long time employee of Sears and was retired from the Longview Police Department. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Longview. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Minor S. Burns, Jr., and her brother Audley "Bobba" Dugan. Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Eloise Sharp of Waco; daughter Virginia "Ginger" Wails and husband Terry of Blanchard, LA; son Rodney Burns and wife Dora "Sunshine" of Longview; 5 grandchildren, Jerry Wails, Tracy Wails, Bret Burns, Lawrence Burns and Rebeka Burns; 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
