Margaret P. Jones' Obituary
Graveside services for Margaret P. Jones, age 88 of Henderson, will be held Monday October 1, 2018 at 2:00pm Rusk County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12noon until 1:30 at the Funeral Home before the service. Margaret was born February 28, 1930 in Shreveport , LA to Marvin Emmett and Mattie Louise Carter and died September 27, 2018 in Houston. She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis S. Jones who she married June 22, 1946, son Bobby Don Jones, her parents, sister Ida Louise Beck, brother Marvin Wayne Carter, brother in law and sister in law Artie Jones Sr. and Evadene Jones. Margaret graduated from Carlisle High School in 1947. She worked for the Henderson Daily News for 43 years in the sales and advertising department, she was also involved in the Relay for Life, American Heart Association, and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her grandson Jeremy and wife Cindy, their son Theodore of Katy , granddaughter Aimee Beard and husband Brian , their children, Preston, Jude, Gracen, and Oliver all of Manvel. Also surviving are cousins Bonnie Zamora of Wake Village, Vonda Kay Cumbie of Rowlett, and Nephew Mark W. Beck of Tinley Park,IL. There are some very special people that meant so much to Margaret. These are people that God put in her life to bless her and show her His goodness. She loved them so much and they became her family by choice. We as a family would like to honor and thank Amanda, Ty, Brayden, Camden, Tytan, and Ethan Blevin. As well as Carolyn Bauer, Reta Daily, and Shelia Green.The family would also like to thank her caregivers.
