Funeral services for Mae Bell Barton, 93, of Tyler, formerly of Longview, will be 3PM Wednesday, December 7, at Calvary Baptist Church, Longview, with Reverends Richard Jones and Steve Ditmore officiating. Interment will follow in Read Obituary
To Mae Bell's family~ Morris, Janice, Mary Lou, and others~ my sympathy at the loss of your wonderful mother. I remember Mae Bell and Calvin coming to Hagansport to visit relatives there, and when they'd come to the Banks-Barton reunion. Mae Bell was a dear lady.

I am so sorry to learn about your mother. She was a sweet person and know that she will be missed. Each day I drove to Mr Parr's house, I would look at her house and stop to think about her and your dad when they lived there.

I wish I could have had the privilege of knowing this sweet lady a long time; I could see the love she had for the Lord in her beautiful face. That in itself is a legacy she has left with us. What a dear lady she was!

Dear family,
Mrs. Barton was a sweetheart of a lady! She was always so kind and had such a sweet spirit. I remember so well when she took care of my baby daughter in the church nursery almost 30 years ago. She was a faithful soldier in God's army.
Thank you so much for the friendship from your family to mine for so many years. What a great time we had at her 90th birthday party!! She looked so pretty.

Having been born and raised in the Jennings community, I knew the Ward and Barton families. When the community reunions were organized in the early l980s, Calvin and Mae Bell attended. She was such a beautiful lady, very gracious, always wearing a smile, and so appreciative her children escorted her to each reunion.
