Zona, I’m so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. She was out across-the-street neighbor all of my childhood. She was the neighborhood watch back before it even had a name. Lol I brought mom back to TX for a quick visit several years ago and we stopped by your mothers. It was getting close to lunchtime and she offered us “a sandwich.” She put out a deli spread complete with side dishes at a moments notice! Our prayers are with you and the rest of the family.
I was one of her workers back in the days. I just can’t tell you enough about her! Zona so sorry about Don, i didn’t know he has passed also.

Zona, For so many years, being neighbors makes me feel like we’re family. I remember my mom and your mom spending time together. Especially when my mom couldn’t physically get around, your mom always visited her, either bringing her some treat to eat or something hilarious to laugh about. That’s what good neighbors do; they fill the void where it’s needed. Zona, you and Mrs. Fountain (including Don and your daddy) are a big part of my growing up years.
