A visitation for Louis J. Hardt, 82, of Longview Texas will be at Rader Funeral Home on Saturday August 4, 2012 from 6-8PM. Louis was born on October 4, 1929 to Conrad and Florence Hardt in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he passed away on Thursday August 2, 2012 in Longview, Texas.
Louis was a Vice President and General Manager for Robroy Industries in Gilmer, Texas. He served in the US Airforce in the Korean War. His motto was to live to work not work to live. Lou was a frugal man and enjoyed to tinker and fix things he was very creative and loved to work with electronics, boating, he was a pilot; living at the lake and he loved his animals.
Louis was preceded in death his parents, his step father , Edward H. Schmidt; half brother, Edward M. Schmidt; sister, Marion H. Schmidt Mato and his first wife Patricia A. Blake and his second wife Lillian Hardt.
He is survived by his son, Thomas E. Hardt; Daughter, Joyce E. Hardt; and his grandson Louis J. Hardt.
