Mr Lou was a kind and generous man who was always willing to be of help to anyone who asked or needed it and he expected nothing or wanted anything in return for his help. I will sure miss my good friend and wonderful neighbor. Several years ago Lou asked me if I might be interested in some property next to his at Caddo Lake. I was and so we became next door neighbors on Bradley Canal near the lake as well across the street in Longview. Our friendship grew fast as he was always so helpful with any property or equipment issues. Lou could repair about anything he put his hands on. My favorite thing about Lou was all the stories he told about his adventures, travels, and crazy antics he created. And it seemed he would never tell a story more than once.
