Lois Anderson Rogers' Obituary
Funeral services for Lois Anderson Rogers, age 97 of Henderson, will be held Saturday October 4, 2014 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Headrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Rogers was born November 11, 1916 in Henderson to James Laudale and Ella Frances Anderson, and died Thursday October 2, 2014 at her residence. Lois was a retired bookkeeper for the Dept. of Agriculture, and had worked for the Rusk County ASCS. She was also a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Finis E. Rogers, her first husband William Preston Rogers, and a son Billy Neal Rogers. Also preceding her in death were sisters Lurene Billingsly, Bertie Fay Oliver, and Marvis Eagleton, brothers Gilbert Anderson, Arthur Anderson, J.L. Anderson, Lonnie Fred Anderson, and Clifton Anderson.
She is survived by a grandson Travis Scott Rogers of Henderson, grandson Billy (Skip) Rogers of Plano, great granddaughter Katie Lynn Richardson of Henderson, and great great grandson Nathan Richardson of Henderson. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tim Sartain, Harley Marley, Kent Rutherford, Michael Neal, David Billingsly, Jim Anderson, and Trenton Richardson, honorary pallbearer will be Nathan Richardson.
Visitation will be from 6pm -8pm Friday night at the Funeral Home.
