Funeral services for Nora Elizabeth "Liz" Rogers, 82, of White Oak, will be held at 2 PM Saturday, September 24, 2011 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Rev. Mark McSweeney officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Read Obituary

Mary and I now live out of Texas during the summer and so I was unable to attend the service for Liz. I was sad to learn of her passing. She was one of a kind and will always be a part of my best memories of the earlier days at White Oak High School. Liz had a big heart. Mrs. Liz was always a bundle of energy from the first time I met when my family and I moved to White Oak in 1998. She really loved all the activities she was involved with in the school and the community. Today, she is free once again to do the things she loves. May God keep this family in His care during this time of mourning. She will be missed but we will see her again. Be confident in the words of Jesus. Not only did He leave to prepare a place for us but He is coming again to get all those who are "in Christ". He promises we will be together again.
