Lillie May was one of the Grand Dames of the Zonta Club when I joined in the late 1980's. She always was gracious to the new members, even when we took the club in directions that probably horrified her and her contemporaries. It's been 13 years since I lived in Longview and attended Zonta meetings at the community center, but I still have fond memories of Mrs. Cobb sitting with her friends at the table close to the eastern window and keeping a keen eye on the group as only a founding member can. I'm sorry for your loss.##imported-begin##Trish Brown Joyner##imported-end##
Lillie May always had a very beautiful smile and it was a true treat just to see her. I know she will be greatly missed by all who loved her.##imported-begin##Laverne Edwards##imported-end##

I first met Lillie May when I was 16 in 1963. She became my mentor and a prudent teacher. Always generous beyond any expectation, she was a gracious force in my life. I was so very fortunate to have her in my life. She will be remembered for her strength and continuous good deeds.##imported-begin##Elizabeth Hinkle##imported-end##

She will be greatly missed. Lillie May was so special. I was cleaning out a closet the other day and ran across some cards she had written to my oldest son Noah. She was so giving and was always thinking of others.
Frank, she has a good friend in heaven with my mother. I know she was there to greet her her with a big smile.
You are in my prayers,
