LILA LOUISE PICKEREL 1924 ? 2007
Lila Louise Turner was born in Missouri on September 29, 1924. An Oklahoma native, she spent most of her adult life in Texas. She was a buyer and merchandiser for Fedway and had a long career as an executive with Dillards in Longview, Texas. She retired from Dillards in 1992. She died on July 23, 2007.
She was married to H. E. Pickerel Pick, who preceded her in death in 1990.
After retirement, she moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma.
She was a member of the Pilot Club of Longview for many years and served as president 1972-73. She was awarded the highest honor pilot in 1972-73. She was also a member of the garden club and bridge club in Longview.
She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, New Friends, and the Muskogee Garden Club in Oklahoma.
As friends, we believe the most important things in her life were her husband, career and lifestyle.
She is survived by her brother, Tom Turner and his wife, Nelda and several nieces, nephews and many special friends.
Graveside services will be in Longview at Rosewood, on Monday, July 30th at 11 am under the direction of Rader Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be at the Grace Episcopal Church in Muskogee at 10 am on Friday, August 3rd.
