Anne Hines

Birth date: May 12, 1937 Death date: Jan 15, 2015
Lehmann D. Hines, lovingly known as “Lee”, or “Papa Lee” to his grandchildren, went home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2015 after a brief illness at the age of 77. Lee was a strong man, but with a quiet and gentle spirit. Lee Read Obituary

Just found out that Lee had died. Brenda and I are in shock. While at Longview Metro Church, Lee was a good friend and brother. He always encouraged and found ways to serve His Lord.
May God's comfort and grace be with Ann and the family.

We had just answered the call to move from Augusta Ga to Cleveland Tn with absolutely nothing but ourselves and our cars and the battle was rough right from the start. I was discouraged and over it and after praying for direction as to which Church God wanted us to join we attended North Cleveland Church of God and became connected with some amazing people. As we continued to seek God for our steps in Cleveland I became to weary and asked my husband to call the Church to see if anyone could help us...not one of my finest moments as a Christian but having been saved all of 12 months I didn't know what else to do. We were handed over to the benevolence department at the church which "Mr. and Mrs. Hines" were over. They were so tired and had such a rough day and then not only did they take us in but prepared a wonderful home cooked meal and the love felt in that home was indescribable (as I type this with tears:). I only wanted one night in a bed to rest and recoup but they wouldn't have us leave without a plan so we both got two jobs and did out best to get out ASAP!! but while there we were so very blessed, so welcome into their home and I would go to sleep each night listening to them go down their prayer list...faithfully they did this and I'd pray over them as they prayed over their loved ones. Mighty for the Kingdom of the living God are the Hines. They impacted our life GREATLY and we are heartbroken at this news that Mr. Lee has passed away. We pray in Jesus name comfort and strength to all who knew and loved him.
Much Love,
