I am Ruby Jo's cousin, Steve. I heard about Laurie through other cousins and my father. In reading her obituary I'm struck with the things she accomplished by age 26. When I was that age I was still trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. Laurie had already accomplished much. She was obviously a beautiful person. I regret not being able to know her. I could not make it to the furnal, I was out of town. I am so sorry for this divastating time for the both of you. I know I have not stayed in contact with ya'll, but both of you have played a big part in my life. Kevin and Ruby, ya'll where Ralph and my first friends when we moved to Hallsville. I remember the excitment when ya'll became parents.I will always remember the joy in your eyes and faces when I did see you and Laurie out or cheering her on at her activities. You are great parents. Ya'll did a wonderful job with Laurie. She was beautiful from the inside out. She is a very special angle. She had a heart of gold and a great personality. She will be missed by many.
No words could ever tell you the feeling of deep sympathy this brings to you today.
Remember, you are not alone. For there are those who care and long to bring you comfort. In the sorrow that you bear. And many prayers are offered to our Heavenly Father, too. His loving kindness Peace and hope will come to you.
