It's only with a very sad heart that I face the passing of my beloved friend, Lanette. To Jimmy, Tim, Chris and all their dear families, I send my unconditional love. We were not simply acquaintances, but the closest of friends. I could share countless stories of us as close neighbors, and shared parents, with each having three sons. I've missed Mike as if he were my own. I've loved all of you dearly and will forever hold each of you close to my heart. Lanette taught two of my sons piano , and Jimmy was a part of the same two's Lobo Band experience. Due to my declining bout with a Neurological problem, my time with Lanette and her family grew limited, yet the undying friendship remained the same. Anyone who has known us fir all these years realizes what all the Yancy family means, and has meant to me. It's with sincere affection that I will be beside you in today's service, though I cannot be with you in person. Remember that you are loved.

Sorry to see you have lost your Mother. May the peace which comes from memories of your Mother comfort you now and in the days ahead. Those we hold close to our hearts never truly leave us. They live on in the love they brought to our lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

We want Jimmy and the family of Lanette that we share their grief. I met Lanette years ago when I took my grandson to his piano lesson. I saw her several times later under the same circumstances and she was always friendly. Later, we moved to the same street and we got to know her better through a neighborhood group. She was always ready to share a joke with us. We thought highly of her and will miss her. Friends are forever.

I took piano lessons from Mrs Yancey as an adult ..we chatted more than we played the piano. . Piano day was the high point of my week when my children were small..My children later then took piano lessons when they were old enough. She was such a loving and sweet lady she will be remembered by our family always with wonderful memories. Rest in Peace Mrs Yancey. You are loved.
