LaJuan Steelman's Obituary
LaJuan Hust Steelman went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2026. She was born March 15, 1931 in Shreveport, LA to parents, Eunice Wilson Hust and Marvin David Hust. She is a 1949 graduate of Fair Park High School in Shreveport, LA and also North Texas State University in Denton, TX. She taught the first grade until retirement in the Irving Independent School District in Irving, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Wayne Steelman, and one son, Randal Wayne Steelman. She is survived by one son, Marcus Layne Steelman of Gilmer, TX and daughter-in-law Connie of Gilmer, TX. Grandson, Dennis Wayne Steelman Wickert and a great granddaughter Kendal Wickert of Arizona. LaJuan is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
LaJuan was of the Baptist faith most of her life. Her hobbies were studying music, reading God's word, and working outside in her yard.
