Kevin Wayne Green's Obituary
Kevin Wayne Green, a resident of Longview, Texas, passed away on May 29, 2026 after a long battle with his health.
Kevin was born on December 12, 1960 in Amarillo, Texas to Grandvel Lee Green and Lucille Fennell Green.
Kevin attended LaPorte High School and had his own business in Longview for many years called Kevin‘s Detail Shop, where he worked with his family. After his son, Jesse, was born in 1984 and daughter, Nicole in 1988, he moved to the Houston area where he became part of the oil and gas industry at Jacob Stern and Sons, in which he eventually retired and relocated back to East Texas. He had a calling to help others, even through his own health struggles. Therefore, he served the community as a caregiver for the elderly during his final years. He spent most of his days, raising children, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends making memories that would last a lifetime. He enjoyed a good trip to Vegas, the horse races, talking sports, fishing, music, laughs with his family, but most importantly, watching his children raise their families.
Kevin is survived by his children, son Jesse (Ashley) Green and daughter Nicole (Michael) Dukett; four grandchildren, Carson and Riley Green and Summer and Michael Dukett Jr. He is also survived by his mother Lucille Fennell Green, brothers Lee Green Jr. and Rex Green, sisters Betty Green, Karla (Lance) Lacy, Debra Kay (Allen) Bales, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends and extended family.
Kevin especially will be remembered for his smile, fiery spirit, and his laugh for that is what led him through some of the hardest times of his life and will be carried on forever by his family.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the start of the service. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered for the family at Rader Funeral Home, at 1617 Judson Rd., Longview, TX 75601.
