Kenneth Ray Hawkins' Obituary
Services for Kenneth Ray Hawkins will be Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 12 noon at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 PM on Tuesday night. Mr. Hawkins passed away December 26, 2010 at his home.
Ray was born on January 11, 1932 in Kerens, Texas to William and Opal Hawkins. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Pansy Hawkins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Lowell and Lindale Hawkins. He leaves behind two daughters, Lonita Melton and husband, Rick, and Sandy Killingsworth and husband, Eddy. Also, left to cherish his memory are grandchildren, Leah Durst and Jonathan Killingsworth.
Ray has been a longtime resident after moving from Henderson, TX. He worked many years as a pipefitter for HyChem Construction, Caddo Construction, Eastman Chemical, Zachary Construction, and Brown and Root Companies. His retirement years were spent on the love for his children and grandchildren along with his passion for gardening.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to caregivers Joyce Jackson and Mari Meador for their compassion and devoted care.
The family requests that all memorials be made to Heartsway Hospice or Mobberly Baptist Church, Building Fund, 625 East Loop 281, Longview, Texas 75601.
