Kenneth E. Bailey
Funeral services for Kenneth E. Bailey, 82, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral with the Reverend Bill Voss officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. He passed away Monday, October 13, at Margaret's House.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. till 2 p.m. prior to the service.
Mr. Bailey was born July 22, 1926 in Dallas, TX to Milton, Sr. and Ruby Bailey and was a longtime resident of Longview. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of WWII and was a retired machinist supervisor for Marathon LeTourneau. He was a member of the Greggton Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Lance Bailey.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Sue Bailey of Longview; children, Terry Mathis and husband Ed of White Oak, Larry Bailey of Longview, and Ginger Hurst and husband Ronny of West Monroe, LA; brother, Milton T. Bailey, Jr. and wife Maudine of Longview; sister, Dee McMillan and husband Harold of Arlington, TX; grandchildren, Damon Ray, Jeff Glenn, Aaron Bailey, Brandi DeYoung, Scott Hurst and Justin Hurst; great grandson, Caleb Glenn; and several nieces and nephews.
