I was saddened to learn of the passing of my former teacher. I knew Mrs. Lowman most of my life and went to school with her sons. She was especially dear to me for her role as my teacher. She was a very positive influence in my life and reading her obituary, it seems she was special to many that she met along the way.
The world has lost a beautiful person but Heaven gained an angel!

I grew up in Alice and Richard and I were best of friends. I got to know his mother who was a lovely lady and friend. She taught school at Alice High School when Richard and I were there. She was a respected teacher. My condolences go out to Richard, Terry, John, Laurie, and Rusty. I am so sorry that I couldn't have been with you at this time but I will always cherish our great friendship with the Lowman family.

Ann and my mother (Mitzi Jacobus) were lifelong friends, and when Mother was sick, Ann was one of her faithful visitors. That was great for me because it meant I got to know Ann better. She was such a firecracker -- funny, smart and sweet. I hadn't seen her in a while, but the last time I saw her she was excited about a trip to the beach with the whole family. I would have come to the service if I had known about it beforehand. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to meet all her kids and grandkids -- she was so proud of all of you all.
My prayers and condolences to the Lowman family. I grew up in Alice, TX and taught aerobics at the Health Club across from the Country Club back in '87-'88. Ann was in my 10am low impact class. She was always faithful coming every day. She always spoke of the Kilgore Rangerettes which I hadn't heard of till I loved to Tyler, TX in August of '88. I always remembered her when someone mentioned that their daughter was joining the Rangerettes. I know she was proud of being one. I so wish I had known she was back here in East Texas so that I could have visited with her. May she RIP and continue to dance and strut in Heaven. Melinda Garcia Perez
