Johnie Hart Funeral services for Johnie Hart, 85, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Tim Smith and Dr. Jim Lilley officiating. Interment will follow in Memory P Read Obituary

My daughter and I were calling today to see how Buddy my pet name for my brother, was doing and was given the news by his wife that he had died last November, 2008. I wasn't at his funeral because I wasn't notified of his death. The last time I saw my brother was just 2 months prior. at our Dad's funeral. My daughter and I had taken care of my Dad for the past 6 years. Daddy was buried on October 1, 2008. Buddy looked good but as he talked about his health, I worried about him. A few weeks later, in November, the message I left on his answering machine went unanswered. Jean, you controlled the phone, you controlled the mail and with your threats of suicide, you finally controlled my brother. But you can never take away our times together, before you and without you.
I have wonderful and loving memories of my brother. He carried me on his shoulders as a child, he took me to the doctor, he bought me baby ducks on Easter. He sent me a Mouton coat for my 16th birthday but I couldn't mention it because his wife didn't know that he had sent it to me. And, as an adult, he spent days and nights with me in my home. We talked about many things, his life, my life, our lost loves, our biggest mistakes, and our Mom and Dad. We talked about his work, his travels, his friends, the war those memories were horrible for him and I was so proud of him. We talked about children, pets, and even sex. He talked about old times, when he and Dorothy Dot were growing up and of his bachelor days and his hair-raising times as a rough neck on the wells. He never failed to tell me he loved me. And when my daughter came into our lives, he loved her too. I know how much it hurt my brother to be denied children, pets and his family.
My Buddy had huge hugs. They made you feel like everything was OK. He held both of us, me and my daughter, in his arms that day, last October, and told each of us that he loved us.
Before I called him today, I was relaxing on the sofa with my eyes closed. His face came before my eyes very clearly and he brushed my cheek with a kiss.
Jean said today and she would like very much for us to believe it, that Buddy didn't care about us but we know that isn't true. He came to me today and said "I love you."
I know he's in a much happier place now. He's finally with people that offer unconditional love to both the real Johny, and to the man he was forced to become. I know he was a good man his ENTIRE life, not just in his mature years. We love you Buddy. God bless your soul. I love you, Sis.##imported-begin##Carolyn Hetzel##imported-end##

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I was out of state and unable to attend because of my mother's candlelight service. My thoughts & prayers are with you.
We can rejoice in knowing their is coming a day we will see them again very soon.

Jean we are so very sorry to hear that our dear dear friend has passed away. On the other hand the rejoicing in Heaven must have been glorious! I know my daddy was there to welcome John home. God Bless you during this time of sorrow. We love you so much and are here anytime you need us.
