J.B. has been, is, and always will be my Hero. Even though there has always been an age difference he was the one I always looked up to growing up. When ever he got the chance he would take me fishing or hunting but mainly he was the one that was there to talk to . Did the two of us get into some fixes ,Yes. but I wouldn't trade the memories for anything. J.B. served his country as a Marine proudly teaching me the value of giving back. When I tried to join the service as well he tried to help me get accepted but to no avail. He served two tours in Viet Nam totaling almost 3 years and was there during the Tet offensive. He had switched over to the Navy when during a critical period in the middle east and served on a ship in the Mediterranean for over a year. Even though all this had changed him in a lot of ways there was always a pride of who he was and what he stood for. J.B. loved his wife of many years till his end this was something he didn't have to say you could feel it when he talked about her, Mary you made him complete. He loved his children more than I think they will ever know they were his pride his reason for living. J.B. was a quite man he never let very many see what was on the inside Mary knows this better than anyone. I don't mourn his passing as I know that he finally is at rest it is the memories that sadden me the most knowing that I cant make any more. You will always be missed my Brother, my Friend and my Hero. LOVE YOU .
