Dear Judy,
I was always so fond of your mother and father. They were my favorite Sunday school teachers at First Presbyterian in Longview. All the years since, whenever I was in town visiting my family, a highlight at church was getting to hug your mom. My heart is with you and your family. We lost daddy three years ago and mother is in assisted living, I know how hard it is to lose our parents, no matter how old. Your mom had a brightness that will always shine in spirit. May your memories comfort you and your family.

Ed, Judy and family,

I enjoyed knowing your mother. She and your dad were friends of my parents, Dorthea and Everett Walters. We always got a little visit in at church. No matter where we met, Jimmie Lou made me feel that she was so excited to see me and always asked about my kids and my sisters. I know that she will be missed. As you know, she was very proud of her family. We have missed seeing Ed and Jimmie Lou at church.

Judy- I was sad to hear that your Mother had passed away. She and your Dad were very kind to me and, of course, you were very special to me. Having lost both of my parents during the past 18 months, I know how painful it can be. Hopefully the positive memories of Mrs. Mayeaux will comfort you and your family during the coming days.

She had a special way of making everyone around her feel good about themselves, and that feeling was reciprocated. She had a gift for that. Sorry to learn about the death of Jimmie Lou Mayeaux. This must have been a difficult time for all. Therefore, I am forwarding scripture to bring solace. Psalms 90:10 says that the usual human life span is 70 or 80 years. This was true when Moses wrote it but not so from the beginning. compare Genesis 5:3-32 Hebrews 9:27 says...It is reserved for men to die once for all time.
