I dearly loved Jewel--broke my Heart to see her sick but thrilled me to see how elegantly and lovingly you cared for your MOther. I cherish my MEMORIES of Jewel and all our good times together at Woodland, the Montgomery/Bethany Class. I especially remember your giving Jewel a Birthday Party in Kilgore at the Hotel, seems like. That was during that long, long illness of mine. Someone came probably Ruth Jackson and took me and I remember, Jimmie, you had this beautiful cake for her and what a lovely time we all had together. It sort of seems that we went to the Kilgore Oil Museum. I know JEWEL WS THE STAR AND AS ALWYS WAS HER BEAUTIFUL SELF.
When I get to feeling "down and out" I will reach back and dwell on one of my Happy Memories of Jewel and you all and her precious Gloria and those precious Grand sons that I got to teach as Juniors
That precious Jimmy was the one that suggested I go to the eye Dr--he said he noticed that my eyes looked strained when I read the Bible. I would not trade my Memories of Jewel and all of her family for all the Gold in Fort Knox! May God bless her Soul.##imported-begin##Millie##imported-end##
