Jerry Wayne Dixon
Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Dixon, 57, of Longview, will be held at 10 AM Friday, October 11, 2002 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Lynn Settlemeyer officiating. Burial will follow at 3:30 PM in Victory Place Cemetery in Goodrich, Texas.
He was born October 4, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas. He passed away Wednesday morning, October 9, 2002 in a Longview hospital.
Mr. Dixon was retired from the City of Longview as a Utility Service Manager, a member of Greggton United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Open Circle Sunday School Class, and was active in the Emmaus Community.
A loving husband and father, Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by his father, William Dixon. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Dixon of Longview, daughters and son-in-law, Julie Ann Dixon of Houston, Shana and Troy Burleson of Waco, Megan Dixon of Longview, mother, Margaret Dixon of Georgetown, brothers, John Dixon of Cedar Park, and Jim Dixon of Cedar Park, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday evening, October 10, 2002 at the funeral home.
