Mr. Hall was my math teacher when I arrived in Tatum in the mid 70s. He was a brilliant man and an excellent teacher. He introduced me to the math competition in Number Sense and Slide Rule. Together we traveled to many competitions in East Texas and in Austin. At that time, I thought it was fun traveling with Mr. & Mrs. Hall, but now looking back I think he shaped me as a person (learning to respect others and to act humble) as well as built up my academic foundation that allowed me to successfully continue my academic pursuit at Rice University after graduating from Tatum High.

Now, working as a professor at the Air Force Academy, I appreciate his teaching style even more than ever.

In my opinion, Mr. Hall was a great man and an excellent teacher. He will be missed.

My condolences to Mrs. Hall for this loss.

Very Sorry to learn of Mr. Hall's passing! His presence was towering at Tatum High School and he was a leader in the instruction of Mathematics and Computer Science. I was not one of the 'smart kids' at Tatum High School and never had the pleasure of having Mr. Hall as my instructor but the positive vibrations from him as a warm human being and and as an anchor of THS Faculty were unmistakable! I also personally witnessed the progress his students made in life and know that his contributions to these young people helped to propel them on to greater lives.

Many is the time I walked past his classroom door and observed mathematical equations and calculations on his overhead projector that I could never have unraveled! I couldn't do the higher math but I did respect the man!

Rest in Peace Mr. Hall as the Master has had your name on his overhead projector for many years!

Mr. Hall was my Algebra and Geometry teacher as well as my son's teacher. We all loved him.....I last spoke to him at Ihop and he was delightful as usual. I prayed for him as his illness took it's toll. Mr. Hall was a fixture at THS and was loved by all. Mrs.Lucy and Wayne I will continue to lift you both up in prayer. Rest easy Mr.Hall your work on Earth is done!!

Billy and I send our condolences to you, Lucy, and to the entire family of Jerry’s. He meant so much to us, and we so enjoyed seeing you two out eating. Jerry was a great help to me with my home computer a few times when I desperately needed a pro.

The last time I saw and spoke to Mr. Hall was at IHOP in Longview. I wa in his Algebra class at Tatum High School. My memory of is that I asked him to repeat things many times until I understood. I am saddened by his passing though earth's loss is Heaven's gain. Fond memories of Mr. Hall. May God continue to bless his family. Belven Nelson.

Very sorry to hear of Jerry's passing.

He was one of my favorite students in 40 years of teaching Computer Science at Kilgore College. I hired Jerry to teach Comp Sci courses at KC as an adjunct instructor about 20 years ago. He got very good evaluations at the end of the semester of each class he taught.

He will be missed.

Mrs. Hall and Wayne... My condolences to you on Mr. Halls passing. He was amazing man. One of my favorite teachers from HS . I have many memories of the Hall family. I love each of you and all continue to pray for you all.
