"During the 'Swan Song' of my father's life, one of the most treasured things he could depend ❤️ on were his weekly and sometimes daily calls and visits from Jerry as they were not only the best of friends, as there is a friend that is closer than a brother 💙 which is the koinonia of Christ, the Christian fellowship or communion, with God or, most often, with fellow Christians ✝️️, the children of God, referenced in Romans 8:17 ...if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. ...I remember coming home, on leave, for Thanksgiving and dad, having begun to delegate some of the authority of those eternal responsibilities to Jerry's son, Jeremy a patriot, just as was his son after him and a law enforcement officer who had now been chosen by God to a higher calling to serve God's people and protect His children. Sitting in the den, dad went on to express his' appreciation for what a blessing every member of the Fountain family had been, especially Jerry and how relieved he had been to see Jeremy grow  in his faith in the Lord to the point dad felt he had matured in the Holy Spirit to a place where dad was going to ask him to accept the responsibility of teaching his own adult Sunday School class, a favored of many crown jewels of His ministry, as is God's work in His people, His church and the Christian community. Along with dad, Jerry and many more, who did crave His appearing, and now rejoice in His presence, God had expressed, concerning 'this life', that which applies to us, here, today, as: Romans 8:37, ...in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen
