Jerry Ann Allen Eason Alston
Jerry Ann Allen Eason Alston of Longview TX, was granted her angel wings on May 12, 2016, with her family by her side.
Jerry Ann was born May 22, 1935 to Russell Fleming Allen and Zoie Mae Bradley Allen in Longview TX. She attended Longview schools, the University of Colorado, and Kilgore College where she majored in business. Later she married James (Jimmy) Lee Eason on November 26, 1955, and after his death in 2001, she married Jackie Joe Alston on September 27, 2003. She devoted her life as a loving mother to Bradley Kim Eason and Jayne Elizabeth Eason Craig.
She was a member of several local neighborhood clubs and cherished the friends which she made in these groups. She was a life-long member of First United Methodist Church in Longview TX.
She was a loving Meema to grandchildren Ann Marie and David Dickerson of Little Elm TX, Casey Lee and Mysti Eason of Lake Cherokee, Lacey Elizabeth Craig of Memphis TN, Cody Andrew Craig of San Marcos, TX, Cory Ray Eason of Lake Cherokee and Cameron Allen Craig of Longview TX. As well as her great grandchildren, Elizabeth Dickerson, Aaron Dickerson, Zoie Eason, and Emmie Eason. She fondly referred to her caregiver, Kelsie Densman, as her adopted granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Zoie Allen. Surviving her are her sister Nell Tillman and brother in-law Carl, her husband, Jackie Joe Alston, children Jayne and son in law Chance Craig, Kim Eason and daughter in law Becky Eason, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service in her honor will be held Monday, May 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church Longview, TX with Dr. Roy James officiating.
