Jena Rene' Stapp's Obituary
Funeral services for Jena Rene? Stapp, 23, of Hallsville will be 4 PM Thursday, September 5, 2002 at First United Methodist Church of Hallsville with Reverend Randy Hageman officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Jena died Monday evening from injuries she received in an automobile accident.
She was a lifetime area resident, born November 21, 1978 in Longview and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hallsville. Jena was a 1997 honor graduate from Hallsville High School, was Homecoming Queen and Captain of the Bobcat Belles and active in numerous other clubs and activities.
She was a graduate student at the University of North Texas and would have received her Masters degree in accounting in December. Among many of her achievements, she was an officer in Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, a member of the International Mortar Board Honor Society, UNT North Forty, UNT Eagle Ambassador, UNT Dance Team and Golden Key Honor Society. She was also a member of the Accounting Honor Society, Beta Alpha Psi sorority, was on the Dean?s list, Order of Omega Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, Professional Leadership Program PLP and Cuernavaca, Mexico Study.
Jena was a bookkeeper for the Consortium for Distance Education in Rehabilitation at UNT. She had recently signed a contract with Saville-Dodgen accounting firm in Dallas and was to begin in January.
Jena raised over $2, 000 to participate in the Avon Breast Cancer Walk, Dallas/Ft. Worth and was very active in various Denton fundraisers.
Jena is survived by her mother and mother?s fiance?, Debbie Stapp of Hallsville and Jim Cline of Marion, Indiana; brother Josh Stapp of Hallsville; sister and brother-in-law, Angie and Marcus House of Longview; Jim?s son, Robby Cline of Longview; grandmother, Billie Martin of Hallsville; aunts, Dr. Pam Martin of Hallsville and Denise and Spike Buie of Hallsville; great aunt, Ruth Gallman of Bedford, TX; cousins, Zach and Katie Buie of Hallsville; nephews, Chase and Chandler House of Longview; great aunt, Dr. LaVerne Gallman of Temple; father, Jerry Stapp of Longview; long time love, Will Lawrence of Lewisville and many special friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, September 4, from 5-8 PM.
