I have "fond" memories of Mrs. Southerland. The Southerland home was situated across from my grandmother's home, Vera Combs. The Southerlands faced Timpson and my grandmother faced 14th Street. Mrs. Southerland was an excellent seamstress and altered many, many items for me and my mother over the years. She always did a wonderful job with her work!! She is fortunate to have lived 100 years--what a blessing to have her these many years. Please accept my sympathy in your loss.

Mrs Southerland made many dance costumes for me when I danced with Clarice Barnwell. Then when my daughter was in viewettes she again was a part of our life. She was so so sweet and a wonder seamstress . I have such wonderful memories of your mother. Toy and I graduated together in 1960.
