Jamie Ellyn Goodan's Obituary
Funeral services Jamie Ellyn Goodan, 38, of Longview, will be held 2 PM Thursday at the Mobberly Baptist Church, Longview, with Chaplain Ben Andrus officiating. Interment will follow in Gladewater Memorial Park, Gladewater, Texas. Visitation will be at Rader Funeral Home, Longview, Wednesday, December 15, from 10 AM to 8 PM.
Jamie Ellyn went to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 11.
She is survived by her husband, Harry of Longview; son, Nicholas of Longview; parents, Jim and Leslie Rice of Gladewater; sisters, Laurie Selph of Mina, Arkansas, Lisa Pope of Diana, TX and Julie Olson of Gladewater, and grandmother, Joyce Boldrick of LaJolla, Calif.
Jamie Ellyn began her career in law enforcement in 1995 as a Gregg County Jailer. In April, 1997, she became a reserve officer for the Longview Police Department and was hired as a full-time officer in April 1998. She was assigned to the Patrol Division and has served as a Hostage Negotiator. She received 29 commendations for her service to the community and to the Police Department throughout her career.
The greatest of Jamie Ellyn?s accomplishments is she was an extraordinarily loving and thoughtful mother to a precious special needs son.
