James W. "J. W." Graham
James Wesley "J. W." Graham was born August 25, 1926, to Doris D. and Mona Mardell Graham in Wichita, Kansas. He died February 23, 2003 following a brief illness surrounded by his loving family.
A World War II veteran, he proudly served in the United States Navy. He retired from Bethlehem Steel after thirty seven years of service. On May 4, 1952, he married the love of his life, Charlotte Ann Grubbs, with whom he has shared over fifty years together. Two daughters, Ginger and LuAnn, were born from this union. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. His hobbies included woodworking, and collecting and restoring antique clocks. Family activities were the centerpiece of his life. He loved spending time with his grandsons, Justin and Corey Wilson and Andrew Young, fishing and attending O.U. sporting events. He was very proud of their accomplishments and supported and encouraged them in every endeavor. He was member of the First Presbyterian Church of Longview.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister Dorothy Guest.
Survivors include his wife of over fifty years, Charlotte; daughters, Ginger Wilson and her husband Lonny of Midwest City, Oklahoma and LuAnn Young and her husband Stan of Edmond, Oklahoma; and grandsons, Justin Wilson and his wife Heather of Maquoketa, Iowa, Corey Wilson of Midwest City, OK., and Andrew Young of Edmond, OK.; one brother, Darrell Graham of Kingston, OK.; three sisters, Charlene Campbell of Hemet, CA., Shirley Guy of Augusta, Kansas, and Delores Looney of Vinita, OK.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family extends their deep appreciation to the physicians and nurses at Good Shepherd Medical Center for their professionalism and compassionate support.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, February 26, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with the Reverend Jonathan Jehorek.
