My Husband Travis Bradford , worked with Chris, they were really good friends. He & Travis when working in town would call me to bring them Lunch. Which was usually from Bodatious BBQ in Kilgore, I introduced him to a Sandwich they call
" the Mailman ", which He Loved!! It's chopped Brisket & Hotlink all chopped & mixed together.
My husband says, Hey Chris! Hope there are Doughnut shops in Heaven !! I miss my running buddy and stopping at our regular Doughnut shops !! You are greatly missed !! Hope you'll be Racing & Winning in Heaven.

I remember the 1st time I met Chris Weatherford. It was at a wedding in Tennessee when Chris was around 17 years old. I drove his sister (My girlfriend Teresa) down to Tennessee from Northern Virginia to attend the wedding and ended up with Chris and some of his cousins spending the night with me in my hotel room. Chris was full of energy and enthusiasm as were his cousins. Chris became involved in racing shortly thereafter and I always enjoyed his passion for the sport. After Teresa and I were married we saw Chris mostly at the Pipestem WVA family get togethers around the 4th of July. We had opportunities to talk and one of the books Chris really liked was Joe Gibbs "Racing to Win". In this book Joe Gibbs described how his Christian faith had carried him through many tough situations. That book inspired Chris and he lived his life overcoming many challenges through his great faith in Jesus Christ. For the past few years Chris and I have been friends on Facebook. It was always cool to see his posts about winning races in Texas and recently he seemed to be at the Top of local racing in Longview Texas. Chris was truly racing to win and having a great time doing it. Chris we are going to miss you. You left us too soon doing something that you loved, car racing. I guess God needed a top racer in heaven. Love you Michael Hall
