I was sad to hear of James' passing. Like James, I grew up in the Cross Roads community, attended Hickory Grove Baptist Church, and rode that same school bus that Don Kinsey mentioned in his comments; in fact, our families lived only about a mile apart. For Sandra, Dwain, David, Pam, and James' other family member that I have not met, I send my deepest sympathy. James was always fun to be around and enjoyed visiting with his old friends whenever we crossed paths again after all these years. Sandra, Dwain, David and Pam, I am so sorry to hear about James. My thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of grief. I have so many memories ofJames and I during our growing up years. We used to walk to Kilgore and Roy Parks would drive by(15 mph) and we would jump on his truck ( without him knowing it) and ride to town then jump off. One. spring we were riding the bus and between James's and Sarah Herrins was a creek. It was raining really hard and the bridge over the creek was under water, so Joe Biggs our bus driver asked James and me to walk across the to see if it was still there. Being crazy as we were we did. Bridge was there and the bus made it across. I have so many memories. Love you brother. RIP DON and JANELL KINSEY
We are incredibly sad to hear about James Carl. He was a dear cousin and friend to my mom, Brenda, and I always appreciate how he stayed in contact with us after my mom's passing. You all are in our prayers!
