"Now the laborer's task is o'er,
now the battle day is past;
now upon the farther shore,
lands this voyager at last.
Father in Thy gracious keeping,
leave we now Thy servant sleeping.
Earth to earth, dust to dust,
calmly now these words we say;
left behind, we wait in trust,
for the resurrection day.
Father in Thy gracious keeping,
leave we now Thy servant sleeping."
I have known but few giants of the Word, and fewer still the earnest gift of the Light and Love of God shared. Bob, devoted Chaplain to the patients and staff of Good Shepherd Medical Center, Longview Texas, gave everything he was and hoped to be, as servant in the glorious kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
How blessed he was, and how blest are we, to have stood in his sacred light.
Love to all of you. Michael Macey##imported-begin##penny and michael macey##imported-end##

To the Pearce family,
When thinking of your dad, the first thought that comes to mind is "greater love hath no man.." Bro. Pearce lived this daily. He and Mrs. Pearce had such a profound influence in my life at an early age in Naples, that little blue Opal always made us smile when he drove up. Each of you and yours are in our prayers, and we have peace knowing that heaven is brighter today with him, and we are better having been blessed to know him.##imported-begin##Brad Collier##imported-end##
Nan, we will not forget the love that you and Bob shared with us. You were the first to visit our home and extend an invitation to join the fellowship at Oakland Heights. Bob's genuine love of, and his dedication to the "Mission" made a lasting impact on us. We will miss seeing him on our visits to Oakland Heights. Thank you for all you have done as a couple. May God bless you with His comfort, His joy, and His peace.
With all our love,

Joy, My prayers are with you and your family. I was surprised to see that your mother's brother is Russell Stroud of Grand Prairie. I grew up with Rusty and Bernadine, and your cousin David, at Fairview Baptist Church in GP. You come from a wonderful Christian family. I will continue in prayer for all of you in the days ahead.
