Not many people had the privilege to live by James but those of us who did can tell you what a great neighbor he was. Thinking of the word ?neighbor? what comes to mind is someone who is caring, who you can talk too and in time of need you can ask for help without being embarrassed. A neighbor is someone who can keep the secrets of your sadness or failures, who can rejoice openly during your happiness and successes. A neighbor is someone who through the rough times and the good times remains steadfast beside you. James was all of this and more. He freely offered his time and labor to anyone in the neighborhood who might be in need. He cared for others so naturally it would make a person wonder what motivated him to be so kind. He had a silent, peaceful character but his good works spoke out loudly. James was the perfect example of strength and kindness. Everyone cherished his knowledge and respected wisdom.
