James Leon Jones' Obituary
James Leon Jones, age 90, returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Mattie Jones, his sons, Michael Jones, Randy Jones, and Bobby Jones. His siblings, Dean Jones, Wallace Jones, Paul Jones and his sister Martha Thompson. Also, his loving wife Loretta Jones of 68 years.
He is survived by his daughter Lorrie Pitre and son-in-law James Pitre. Brothers, Butch Jones and wife Elaine and Bill Jones. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Leon’s life was spent working hard to support and provide for his family and to also allow him to enjoy his many hobbies. Those included motorcycles, airplanes, sports cars and going extremely fast in each one. He owned a successful business named Tatum West Auto Supply for over 40 years in Tatum. He and Loretta were members of the First Baptist Church of Tatum, Texas.
