James E. Howard's Obituary
Services for James Edward "Shorty" Howard, 69, of Longview will be held at 11 AM Saturday, August 2, 2008 in the Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel with Dr. Gregg Zackary officiating.  Graveside services with military honors will be un-der the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Mr.  Howard was born on May 3, 1939 in Stamps, AR. to Oscar William and Maggie Mae Howard.  He passed away on July 29, 2008 in a Dallas hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile acci-dent.
He proudly served his country with the United States Air Force.  He had worked in sales for several car dealerships in Shreveport and East Texas including, Wray Ford, Rountree and most recently, Lively Cadillac.  He was a faithful mem-ber of Mobberly Baptist Church where he served as an usher and was a member of the Ed Hussley Small Group Bible Fel-lowship.
He was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne-tte Howard of Longview; brother and sis-ter-in-law, Harvey C. & Louise Howard of Benton, AR.; daughter, Lujuanna Sue Howard of Shreveport, LA.; son, Freddie Dwayne Howard of IL.; and granddaugh-ter, Meagan Cheyenne Howard of IL.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Friday, August 1, 2008 at the fu-neral home, 1617 Judson Road in Long-view.
